Bill Goodwin, Trustee, and Laurie Baty, Deputy Director, joined with 350 other museum professionals on February 27 and 28 for meetings on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC. The fourth annual Museum Advocacy Day brought staff and trustees from as far away as Hawaii to talk with Senators and Congressmen about the importance of museums in their local commuities. If you are interested in letting your representatives know how important museums are to you and your community, please take a look at Speak Up for Museums, a program of the American Association of Museums and many other cultural heritage organizations.
