About Us

The National Capital Radio & Television Museum operates in Bowie, Maryland, and also curates continuing exhibits elsewhere. Opened in 1999, the museum is open to visitors three days a week.

Visit the Museum

The National Capital Radio & Television Museum is open to the public

Fridays 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Saturdays and Sundays 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

The museum also can be opened for group and school tours by appointment.

Today in 1954, popular radio show "Don McNeill's The Breakfast Club" was simultaneously broadcast on radio and television for the 1st time. The program was simulcast for a year, but ultimately failed to make the transition to television. #RadioHistory #TelevisionHistory
